There are a couple of ways to season a roast. The most common are:
- Rubs
- Marinades
Each of these has their own advantages and disadvantages. It just depends on what you’re looking for.
There are two different types of rubs dry and wet. To use a dry rub simply take it and cover your meat thoroughly with the rub. This will provide an excellent flavor and texture to the meat. Wet rubs are a little different. To use a wet rub is exactly the same as a dry rub but because its a liquid it wont cover it as thick. This gives the meat a milder flavor and also keeps it moist during the cooking process.
Marinades are probably one of the most common ways to season meat. Marinades can take on the flavor of the country where they were created. Remember to read the instructions before using a marinade. Some foods can’t be in a marinade for too long or they become too spiced.
Rubs and Marinades are generally used before cooking the meat. They both add flavor and tenderness to the roast – and make them taste delicious!!!!
