Recipe Name: | Jalapeno Poppers |
Background and Description: | I have made literally tons of them. Even grow them myself. My best recipe is so simple and everyone loves them. |
Ingredients: | – Jalapenos with tops cut off and reamed to remove seeds. – 1 pkg Philadelphia cream cheese – room temperature – 1 tbs taco seasoning or more – a little milk, cream or 1/2 & 1/2 to thin – bacon strips cut into 3rds – I use thick cut pepper bacon |
Recipe Instructions: | Cut tops off the Jalapenos and ream to remove seeds & membranes. (These can be left in if you want them real hot.)
Mix together cream cheese, taco seasoning, and milk and pipe with Ziploc bag into jalapenos. Do NOT over fill. Wrap a bacon strip around the stuffed jalapeno and hold in place with toothpicks. Place in jalapeno pepper holder and throw on grill for about 35 minutes (I use The Big Easy or Smoker Roaster Grill from CharBroil) or bake in oven at 350º. |
Recipe Summary: | Be sure and make a bunch because they do not last. I have made 100 at a time for the campground and never any left over.
You can leave a few seeds in a couple of them. You will know who gets them, they are the ones that get to do dishes. |
