When it comes to the BBQ, all too often, it is the guys that grab a drink and a plate full of steaks and head off to the back deck to fire up the grill.

But, many times it is the ladies that have marinated those very steaks, trimmed off the excess fat, and are busy in the kitchen cooking and preparing the rest of the delicious meal.

Yeah, the guys get a lot of the BBQ air-time (tradition I guess), but we all know that the women are every bit as talented as the men when it comes to cooking up amazing dishes on the grill. It is time to turn the tables and give the Women the BBQ recognition that they deserve.

So, we are announcing the second annual “Women of the Grill Recipe Contest” to encourage women to show off their Grilling/BBQ’ing prowess.

For those of you of the male gender who may feel slighted by this contest, check out our BBQ Recipe Contest where you can show up the women as well as the other avid BBQ chefs around the world.

The 2010 contest officially ended December 31, 2010. Check out the winners of the Women of the Grill Contest

The 2011 contest ends November 30, 2011. Submit your entry today.

Entering the Women of the Grill Recipe Contest

To enter, submit your original recipe, along with a short bio of yourself to tell us about your grilling styles, BBQ recipes, Grilling tips and how to’s. There is no limit to the number of recipes that can be submitted as long as they are done on a grill/BBQ.  The recipe can be submitted using our online recipe submission form, or you can email the recipe to [email protected]

The contest will run until November 30, 2011, so you have some time to get your recipe submitted.
