Perfect Grilled Steak

Submitted By: Anita Holt
Location: South Coffeyville, OK
Background: I’ve lived in the country most of my life. We have about 200 head of beef cattle so we always have our freezer full of fresh beef and I like to experiment with new recipes and methods of cooking it.
Recipe Name: Perfect Grilled Steak
Background and Description: After trying dozens of different marinades for our steaks, I have finally came up with a very simple and delicious one that my family loves.

*NOTE* Please remember if your steaks come frozen, do not ever thaw them in the microwave! Your steaks will become very tough if you do.

Ingredients: – 4 steaks (ribeyes, t-bones, etc)
– 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
– 1 to 2 T. Cajun Seasoning (I use Bayou Magic)
Recipe Instructions: Take thawed steaks and place in a gallon Ziploc bag. Place Worcestershire sauce & Cajun seasoning in bag and seal. Rotate the bag several times to coat the meat. Place in the frig for a min. of 4 hours (even better 24 hours) and flip the bag over ever hour or so. Cooking time varies so you have to experiment with your equipment. My steaks are 1″ thick. On our gas grill set on low, I grill them for 8 minutes on each side for medium. On our charcoal grill, I grill them 7-8 minutes on each side for medium.
Recipe Summary: This is a very simple and delicious recipe. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
