Over the weekend, we had a family reunion with a lot of my wife’s family coming in to town. I was in charge of cooking on the last day of the reunion.

Well, I had been craving baby back ribs for a couple of weeks and decided that this was the perfect time to cook up a bunch of ribs.

I decided to try the complete complement of Famous Dave’s products including the Barbeque Dry Rub as the dry rub for the ribs, and 2 different kinds of sauce (Rich and Sassy & Sweet and Zesty).

I liberally coated all 4 racks of baby back ribs with the barbeque dry rub. This recipe is perfect on pork ribs! After the coating of the barbeque dry rub, I wrapped each rack of ribs in tinfoil and put them in the oven at 200 degrees for about 6-7 hours. After a couple of hours, you could smell the ribs cooking – it about killed me waiting for them to get done.

While they were cooking, I whipped up a batch of my baked beans (I will have to jot down my recipe for that), made my Broccoli Salad (a family reunion tradition) and cooked up some corn on the cob.

After about 6-7 hours, I took the ribs out of the oven and opened the foil. The barbeque dry rub recipe had done its job – the ribs looked and smelled great! The meat was falling off the bones, but I was not quite ready to serve them yet.

I fired up my grill and put all of the ribs coated with that great barbeque dry rub right on the rack. Then I smothered them on both sides with a combination of the Rich and Sassy and Sweet and Zesty BBQ sauces from Famous Dave’s. Cooking them on the grill put a little crust on the ribs and the dry rub combined with the barbeque sauce was a perfect combination.

I also whipped up some barbeque chicken breasts for the kids (more ribs for the grownups) and served everything all at once.

It was quite a feast!
