Background: I work from home as a freelance marketing and business analysis representative for a variety of clients in South Florida, but the passion behind my daily blah is cooking. My recipes range from anything on the grill to fantabulous deserts and large course meals for the entire block. I learned to cook after years spent as a kid chocking down bland dry dinners my mom lovingly cooked for us, and I vowed to never serve a non-marinated meat again! Behold – a homemade chef was born!
Recipe Name: Dream Wings
Background and Description: These wings were inspired by my favorite dish as a local Bahamian restaurant here in South Florida. They are BBQ, Jerk, Teriyaki with a kick.
Ingredients: – Chicken Wings
– Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce
– Teriyaki Sauce
– Jamaican Jerk Sauce
– Cholula Original Hot Sauce
– Brown Sugar
– Minced Garlic Pepper
– Garlic Salt
– Onion Powder
Recipe Instructions: Wash and cut the wings, as needed. Toss with a little bit of garlic and onion powder, then fry in a deep fryer for about 20-25 minutes, depending on how well done & crispy you like em. Mix all the ingredients, except wings, in a small bowl until you get a nice medium sauce consistency. You will have to play with the right amounts of each flavor until you get the right amount of heat for your taste. I start with a cup of the BBQ sauce and about 1/2 cup of Teriyaki mixed with 1 TBSP of brown sugar and 1 TBSP of minced garlic, then add in the heat until it’s the right temperature.

Start grill on med-high, and let get to a nice heat. Once heated, lower temperature to medium-low. Remove wings from fryer and place on paper towel to help remove extra grease. Toss wings in a large bowl with just enough of the sauce to coat. Place wings on grill over medium-low heat and grill for about 5 minutes. Turn wings over, and baste with additional sauce. Let cook another 5 minutes and remove from grill. You can toss with any additional sauce if you like, or make an extra batch of sauce and serve on the side for guests to dip.

Recipe Summary: Its quick and easy and very versatile. Put what you like to eat in the muffin tins. Make enough for a group for brunch. Everyone will think you slaved for hours to make this tasty treat.
